Kimbles Reflexology - Anne Bromley
About me..
I first experienced reflexology four years ago when I started my treatment for breast cancer. I found the reflexology sessions so beneficial during this time that I decided to become qualified and practise as a reflexologist in addition to my work as an Occupational Therapist within the NHS. In 2017 I undertook a diploma in reflexology and after a year of training I qualified with an ABC Award Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology from the Maureen Burgess School in East Grinstead. I am also a member of the Association of Reflexologists.
What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a complementary therapy which involves the application of pressure to reflex points in either the feet or hands. It is based on the theory that points on our feet or hands correspond with parts of the body. Reflexology can be found to relax, re-balance and relieve tension in the body. The theory is that reflexology enables the body restore balance naturally which can in turn help natural healing processes.
Reflexology may help in a number of areas such as:
-
Sleep
-
Provide space for relaxation
-
Improve circulation
-
Digestion
-
Mood
-
Release of tension
What happens during the treatment?

During the initial session, which will last approximately 90 minutes, details of your medical history will be taken in order to provide a person centred treatment. Following this the treatment will involve the placement of pressure on various reflex points on the feet. I will be following a sequence of reflex points which correspond to areas of the body. I may spend longer on certain areas depending upon the information obtained during our initial consultation. I will then finish the treatment with a relaxation sequence. There may be areas of discomfort during the treatment however this will not last and the overall treatment should be relaxing.

After the treatment you may feel:
-
Relaxed
-
Sleepy
-
Mild headache
Any symptoms you may experience should resolve after 24 - 48 hours. This can be a sign of the body’s healing processes and the elimination of toxins. It is important to drink plenty of water in order to help flush toxins out of the body and promote self healing.

How will I feel after the treatment?
